RE:[sap-log-sd] Service Item - Schedule Line Category

Hi Saps,

In item category VOV7, field Schedule line allowed is NEEDED to enter Order quantity; in Tab Schedule lines information such as delivery quantity and delivery date.

If in item category VOV7, field Schedule line allowed is activated, then schedule line category for that item category have to be assigned in VOV5.

Thus even if CD is totally empty, it is needed for a service item because ONLY then can the user know - from the system - the delivery quantity and the delivery date.
This same concept applies for Inquiry process where there is NO delivery of goods but still there is an item category AFN and there is a schedule line AT. AT is also totally empty.

Subject: Service Item - Schedule Line Category

Hi,

Why do we have the scheduled Line Category CD for service item, when there is no delivery, no movement type or anything written for CD.

Regards,
Saps
