My client has a requirement for accessing item number (vbap-posnr) field inside the VC on contract document. Using 'mdata' command works fine for root level item. But somehow when the same dependency and characteristics are used to read the item number for lower-level items (child items), VC always brings in the root level item number.
Any clues on how can the item number for lower-level material be populated in VC? Any characteristics, dependency, etc. that can be used.
