Good Receipt date is the date when the goods are accepted, in the warehouse. When GR is done, the stock increases, for that amount of material. This is done with an Inbound delivery. This is done with MM or WM module.

Juicy_mann's client deals with storage of material, (say) the client owns a warehouse. So, the material come in to this warehouse, these material are kept in storage for a number of days & the these material leave the warehouse.

GR date information is - proposed to be - pluled from WM / MM module.

With PGI the system reduces the stock, for that amount. Thus I mean that with PGI the goods have been loaded in the truck (i.e. they are no longer in storage)

Therefore I propose Number of days of storage = Days between posting of GR and GI.

- do you have SAP WM module?
- do you have batch, or pallet identification system?
- do you do scanning?
- How is the inbound process done?
- How is the outbound process done?

pick the stock. However my doubt is how would system know GR date to
calculate the number of days between GR and GI date. Where this GR date will
be updated in SAP? Because GI was completed and hardly no chance to enter
the details in delivey.

PR02 condition type has scale type - Graduated to interval scale. This would
solve the issue but my confusion is once the PGI has done delivery number
will show in the invoice due list. How long the business to wait creating
invoices for the deliveries. Because we are unsure when will customer pick
the goods so that to calculate the storage cost?

I respect your suggestion but I have not understood the solution you
proposed. Can you please brief me more.
