Reply from Mary on Mar 5 at 5:41 PM Dave, We finally solved this problem using a bit of code in the Availability user exit. But then came the real surprise when I demonstrated the new configuration. One key user explained why this is bad business to schedule sales orders lines beyond the Standard Lead Time Date. If we confirm a sales order out beyond lead time and then the customer may complaint that we take too long get product. The customer might even cancel their order and try to obtain the product from an alternative source. We are better off to quote the customer our standard SAP Lead Time and then we can try our best to expedite shipment from our vendor. You are correct about SAP AND the best business practice. Thanks so much for your feedback. Mary

My SAP system always picks Lead Time even if there is a PO scheduling beyond Lead-time. Is there is a config setting or do I need a user exit for this? | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
