Reply from Dave Thornburgh on Jan 25 at 2:16 AM Well, that's a different kettle of fish, as they say. You only asked about migrating from one SAP system to another. If you need to implement EDI from scratch, then you've got a long list of things to do. I can't think of them all right now, but you've got to decide what messages are required in each direction, find out how the other end is going to map the EDI, make sure that your maps either provide or consume the correct data for your scenarios, and so on. I'm not sure this has anything to do with shipping labels, SO10, or delivery schedules - those all sound like extra tasks thrown onto your list. I would strongly recommend the Nagpal/Pitak book, "ALE, EDI, and IDOC Technologies for SAP" 2nd edition, which you should be able to find at SAP Press, or maybe Amazon or a good technical book store (if those still exist). It is getting to be a few years old, but the technologies involved have not changed in years either - it's still a very helpful book. Dave

Any ideas? | | Reply to this email to post your response. __.____._ | _.____.__ |
