CASE 1: When goods (e.g. TV, washing machines, computers etc.) are being physically transported from company warehouse (or Distribution center) to the ShipTo address of the customer in those cases the following configuration has to be done -
- in VOV7: Schedule line Allowed is ACTIVATED, Item Relev. for Dlv is DEACTIVATED
- in VOV6: Item rel. f. dlv is ACTIVATED, Movement Type is given (e.g. 601, 651 etc. etc.)

CASE 2: In case of text item E.G. Servicing of TV - here there is NO delivery i.e. moving of goods - but user wants a delivery document, so that he/she can print it and keep for adminstrative purposes. In that case the following configuration is done -
- in VOV7: Schedule line Allowed is DEACTIVATED, Item Relev. for Dlv is ACTIVATED

All the examples you have given -
"For example, in Consgn Fill Up, the item category KBN is not relevant for delivery, but schedule line category E1 is relevant for delivery. same is the case with item n schedule line cats: KAN n F1; REN n DN; TAQ n CT, etc.... "
pertain to Case 1 there fore the relevant configuration / settings.

If you have questions, please inform.

Subject: Movement Type in Consignment Fill Up

Hi Mr. Ekalavya, Mr. Typewriter and Mr. Deepak,

Thank you for your posts. I was just trying to correlate the 'item relevant for delivery' in item category, schedule line category and movement types.

I was actually getting confused with a few things. For example, in Consgn Fill Up, the item category KBN is not relevant for delivery, but schedule line category E1 is relevant for delivery. same is the case with item n schedule line cats: KAN n F1; REN n DN; TAQ n CT, etc.... Why are the item categories showing not relevant for delivery but schedule lines showing relevant for delivery? If my understanding is correct then the movement type is linked to schedule line category - relevancy for delivery. Then why do we have option of an item category delivery relevance. Please explain.
