Hi Dutch, Many thanks for your post! Please help me understand what is the relation between "customer wanting ONLY a single delivery" and back order / back order processing?

Some of them may accept multiple deliveries (in above example, when ordering 10, they would get one delivery for 6 pieces and a subsequent delivery for the remaining 4 pieces). Often though customers have other requirements, e.g. some do not accept multiple deliveries. So, back to the example, if you could only deliver 6 pieces, they do not want you to deliver the remaining 4 pieces later (they will probably try to source them from somewhere else). Settings on the customer master record control how the system behaves with regard to partial deliveries. Regards, Dutch | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author.
