option to RESTRICT d. channelwise & divisionwise.

Why is a sales office assigned to a sales area? Why can a sales office not be assigned to a sales organization?

Sales office can be viewed as an actual geographical office. Sales office SO1 could be responsible for selling for Sales organization NORTH NL, across ALL distribution channels online selling and whole sale selling and for ALL divisions computers, TVs etc. In this above set up assigning SO1 to Sales org North NL would suffice.
