Hi Clarity,
In standard SAP you can generate a purchase order based on a sales order, but not vice versa. The scenario you describe seems to hint at batch management, where you want to ensure that a particular PO-receipt is allocated to a particular sales order (or customer). Batch management would be the appropriate approach to meet that requirement IMHO.
