You are correct!
I had made a typing mistake. After realizing my mistake, I had sent a post with the correction. I hope you (all) received it.
From SAP, with F1 in field "Selection date" in VL01N
Procedure
If you also enter a sales order number, the system checks the delivery selection date against each schedule line for each item. If either the material availability date or the transportation planning date falls on or before the delivery selection date, the system copies the item into the delivery.
PS - in VL10, field "Delivery Creation Date" also check the above, during the processing of delivery creation.

Transport is arranged on = 7.08.2011
Why would the system throw error if we attempt to create delivery in VL01N
by giving the selection date = 15.08.2011 (which is later then above two
dates). If we try to create delivery much before the above two dates only
system would give error because ATP has not confirmed.
Please correct me.
