If you set the cross-distribution-chain material status to"Discontinued (Sales) won't that prevent sales orders from being entered for the item? Also, if you do set the item with this status and you currently have orders in process with the item on it, can it still process through so it can still ship and bill?

I create sales order for M1, it just pop up an information: Material M1 is
marked for deletion, and then following process is still possible.
