Sorry I never replied to this got lost amongst other bits.

Given the delivery document can have a different group code (and does by default if LF was originally copied) then its possible to have a risk category defined in OVA8 with delivery group code 02 (for example) that would have a document limit of 0,01 so everything would effectively block (excluding free of charge I guess)

So in the SD>Basic Functions>Credit Management

...Check Assign Sales Documents and Delivery Documents>Delivery Documents has a group code assigned
...in OVA8 or Define Automatic Credit Control setup for a new risk category for group code conditions that always make the documents block

When a customer has issues move them to this high risk category and run the correction report RVKRED09 (I think dont have a system to test on at the moment)

Any 'special' shipments can then be released by a credit controller without having to unblock and reblock the customer.

Subject: Delivery block in XD05

In XD05 you get an order block, delivery block and billing block. When you set the order block on the sold-to-party it does not allow you to create a sales order, the same with a billing block, it does not allow you to create the billing block for the customer.
In our system delivery block does not have the same effect, even with a delivery block set on the sold-to-party and/or ship-to-party, I can still create a delivery. Although it will copy the delivery block into the next sales order you create and then you can not deliver, our need is to block all deliveries to a customer at any stage of day or month, then it should not allow any deliveries to that customer until the delivery block is removed in XD05 again.
We do not want to set delivery blocks in the sales orders, there is just to many sales orders to place it on and then remove it again when applicable.
