In standard SD configuration, the Order reason can be changed even if you have configured Alt. sales document type, in VOV8 for your sales document type.
I have tested this and it works. NO PROBLEM!
Furthermore, Order reason can be changed at any stage of the process -
- After creating billing document and account posting has happened, still Order reason in a sales order can be changed / entered.
- After creation of delivery and also after doing PGI, Order reason in a sales order can be changed / entered.
I would suggest you to create a new sales order and then do the testing
- Put an Order reason. save the sales order. Then in VA02 go into the sales order and test by changing the order reason.
- Also create delivery, billing document. Then in VA02 go into the sales order and test by changing the order reason.
Please let us know the results of your tests.
