RE:[sap-log-sd] Price Group and Price List

Both Price Group and Price List are basically used in pricing strategies. As far as my understanding goes, Price List will allow us to classify various types of customers based on their transactions with us while Price Groups help us in classifying the way we would like to offer discount to various classes of customers.

Subject: Price Group and Price List

In a CMR, in Sales Area Data, Tab Sales we have two fields Price group and Price list. What is the difference between these two fields? From your real-time experience, which one is more used and why?
Please give some examples of the usage of these two fields, that could bring out the difference between them.

Thank you, in advance.
