[sap-log-sd] KNVV-PRFRE (Price Determination)

Dear SAP Gurus,
Do you know how KNVV-PRFRE (Price Determination) in the Customer Master Data works when it has been flagged? I saw in the help that it is related to a Customer Hierarchy Node for pricing determination, but I need more details, examples in how it works.
