Rajan, Thank you for your advice. May I conclude my understanding - since our customer requirement is to accrue an absolute discount amount per material unit sold (discount amount varies by quantity sold - not by value sold) and to be paid later - not at the time of sale like you mentioned above, so what we need is setting up a rebate condition as absolute amount per quantity of the product (by customer/ by product SKU) , per quick look into the list of condition types, looks like 'BO02'?
