RE:[sap-log-sd] Delivery Re-Scheduling

Hi Pamela,

1) The sales order passes the requirements to MRP.If that is the case, then why the delivery (for same sales order ) also passes the requirement to MRP.

From my understanding, the requirements to MRP are sent during the creation of sales orders. The requirements to MRP are NOT sent during the creation of deliveries.

During creation of deliveries, the availability of stock could be checked. This is controlled at delivery item category level 0vlp (zeroVLP). This availability check could be deactivated too.

2) I could not understand the concept of res-scheduling of deliveries from help.sap.com. Can someone please explain.

3) How can the planned goods issue date and actual goods issue date be different. if the stock is available but we if defer the PGI, don't you think that stock can be taken away by some other sales order/delivery ?

The system shall NOT allow PGI if there is inadequate stock. User can only do PGI if there is enough stock in the inventory, for that plant and storage location / picking location.

SAP has given flexibility for the date of GI, one date is calculated by scheduling (forward or backward) based on customer's delivery date. But in actual this GI date could be before or after or on the planned GI date. To accommodate the registering of actual GI date, SAP has given two fields - planned and actual PGI dates.
