Hi,

You can achieve that by EDI processing. We are working in a similar scenario, where a company introduces a purchase order and via message determination we send a ORDERS Idoc. This ORDERS is processed in our own system and creates the respective sales order on a given sales organization and with a specific document class. This works by standard means, and it only needs some customizing and master data maintenance work.
You can also manage to create the inbound delivery of the same purchase order via another EDI coming from the vendor outbound delivery. And it is possible as well to create a vendor invoice out of a sales order.

I have some documentation, but unfortunately it is in Spanish.
