Sorry, I do not agree. If you have a scale, e.g. a special discount, that doesn't kick in until the order value is $500, and the first line is $200, and the 2nd is $100, and the 3rd one is $300, when you enter the first 2 lines, the condition would not be pulled in. When you enter the 3rd line, it would be pulled in but only for that line. SAP doesn't automatically go back and recalc all of the existing lines. You would have to recalc the entire order either thru edit...new pricing document, or header...conditions...update, or by saving the document in order to tell SAP to go back and recalc the existing lines. Otherwise, the system would be constantly having to recalc all of the existing lines that were on the order (either the lines before the one that put the scale basis over the threshold or, if during an order change, anywhere on the document)
| | | ---------------Original Message--------------- From: Typewriter Sent: Tuesday, October 25, 2011 1:58 PM Subject: Scale Pricing doesnt Update Jim, Even with group condition routines e.g. routine 1 user does not have to go into header pricing. The system calculates on the basis of the line items entered. E.g. In VA01, user enters - line#10 line#20 System parallelly calculates the value of the condition type at header level. Then user enters - line#30 System parallelly updates / calculates the value of the condition type at header level, based on the informtion filled in line item level Then user deletes line#10, line#30 System parallelly updates the value of the condition type at the header level. "how would it know whether you've entered all of the line items that should be included in the scale basis?" System know how many line items to process, by processing the line items filled by the user in the sales order. Hope the above is clear.
