In MASS, you dont have the option to run in background. What you can do is write a coding in program SAPLMASS_SEL_DIALOG in such a way that the program should run in background. Your ABAPer can achieve this.

Subject: Mass Update of Sales Orders with new pricing
The price condition records in our company get changed quite regularly. We have to update hundreds of sales orders with new pricing "Pricing Rule-B".
Since mass update of sales orders is a regular thing, we want to develop a new program which updates sales orders with new pricing as a background task.
I have looked at VA05-Mass update function but I understand that it cannot be run in background.
Can transaction MASS be run in background?
I would appreciate if someone who worked in a similar scenario can share their experience.
