No.. No... The example you have given does NOT come under the concept of "
EXCHANGE".

To add...to my previous post.

Let me take an example with regards to Exchange process -

Normal OTC process with OR --> LF --> F2. Customer is NOT happy with the goods.

1) User creates RE order, gives reason for rejection. A SDF (subsequent delivery free) is created. In order to EXCHANGE the goods with complaint with new/other goods.
Here Order type = SDF, item category = KLN, schedule line category = CP with movement type = 601

2) User creates RE order, completes return process without giving credit memo but free delivery instead. In order type = FD, the schedule line category = CP with movt. type = 601

Both above examples are of exchange of goods. And these have movt type 601.

Therefore I say movt. type could be 601, in case of exchange of goods.
