RE:[sap-log-sd] Delivery date in schedule line

Hi,

I find the answer in your question.

Order was first created with Requested Delivery Date (RDD) of 19.1.2010. But since, there was no Finished Good, order was not committed.

Now, when you added the stock on 23.8.2011, then this date became the Effective Material Availability Start Date at the manufacturing plant. Hence, material will only available on 23.8.2011.

So, material available in Aug 2011 cannot commit the order requested in Jan 2010 (as a common sense how is it possible.)

So, when RDD was pushed to Sep 2011, the stock available in Aug 2011 will be used to commit the order.

Thanks
Abhishek

Subject: Delivery date in schedule line

Hi,

I noted a very peculiar thing in sales order. I have a sales order with a delivery date of 19.1.10 already existing sales order. The schedule line is not confirmed.

I checked for the stock for the material and there was no stock. So I created the stock as on today 23.8.11. Still the system did not confirmed the schedule line.

I went to schedule line and changed the delivery date to 12.9.11 ad then the system confirmed the schedule line.

My question is how come just by increasing the delivery date, the system confirmed the schedule line and why did the system not confirm the schedule line when I created the stock for the material as written above.

Regards,
Pamela
