Hi Pamela,

In your example there won't be a block.

To explain the underlying concept an example -
In a cinema hall, many people can watch the (same) film, at the same time. This is because the film remains the same.
But if the "Sound recording department" wants to record the sounds of the film. Then have to wait until the editing of the film is complete. So if editing is going on, & sound technician wants to start working, he shall get the message "a block message - blocked because editing going on"!

SAP SD related example -
Create a sales order, save it and then go in to it in change mode VA02.
In another screen, VA02, try opening the same sales order, you can not. System has blocked you. As the other user could be busy with changes in the sales order.

Create a cond record PR00 in VK11. Go to VK12, open that condition record.
In another screen, in VK12, try opening the same cond record (PR00 etc.). System shall not allow you, same reason.

But creating 2 different sales orders. They can both use the same PR00 cond record. As both are referencing the record & record is not changes in any way.

We have one pricing condition record for condition type Pr00 for sales org 2010/00/00 for customer A.

now if two users create two sales orders at the same time for same customer A and sales org 2010/00/00 . will they be able to do it.....

will the same condition record get populated at the same time in both the sales orders...... Won't there be a lock on the condition record if two users are creating sales order at the same time for same customer and same sales area as said above ??If not then why not ?
