That is a core problem, theoretically. Have you looked for notes? If you
have and you found none, the issue needs to be reported to OSS.

We found out following behaviour in VT02N: if an user enters a shipment (in change mode ..) there are some user lock entries created and visible in SM12.
I checked the source code and found that in the printing subroutine there is a "COMMIT WORK" command that obviously is dropping the lock entries - SAP Standard behaviour..

After making some changes the user immediately selects the menu "Shipment - Output - Printer".
When the output is finished, all the lock entries are deleted - immediately, even though the user still is in the shipment, in change mode.

We've had several follow-up issues due to this (inconsistencies etc.). The user is now aware about that issue; but what is your proposal to prohibit this issue in future? Is it possible maybe to gray out the menu item (similar as in VL02N) without making a SAP modification?
