If you have only one sales org then you can only have one delivering plant
in MVKE. So only change it if you want to change it for everyone.

Given you have more plants than sales orgs what is the business process for
deciding which plant to use? If there is nothing you are doing in the system
that differentiates the order item from any other then the system cannot do
anything other than take the value from the MVKE data (or the customer data
if that happened to be present)

If there is something during order capture that determines the rules for
plant selection then you can code in the appropriate user exit to override
the standard plant selection.

Subject: How is plant determined

Mr. Typewriter,

You're spot on, again.

I was doing just what you suggested. And found the error.

When i checked sales org view for 001, in the plant field it is input as 002 and 002 for 001.

But, can you please clarify one more thing. When we are extending the material for a different plant, should we change the plant in the sales view or leave it as default plant where we created the material first.

And also please let me know why in either case.

Thanks in advance.

Warm regards,
Saratvamsi
