In our SAP we find that the GR date in table LINV ( LINV-WDATU ) is getting updated when we conduct cycle counts using a custom developed RF interface transactions but I am not certain. The count date seems to be updated when using LX26 but not when using the RF interface transactions. I have conducted tests that show clearly that the GR date for a particular quant is not related to the actual putaway or good receipt date for that material and that bin. For that same Quant I can see in table LQUA that the GR date is different in some cases.

My question is should the GR date stored at LINV-WDATU be the same as the GR date stored at LQUA-WDATU? If they can be different then what are the instances of this?

I believe the company we contracted to develop our RF transactions may be updating GR date when they should be updating Count date.

On a related note, can anyone tell me whether count date should be updated consistently and in the same way whether using LI01N, LX15, LX16, LX26, or LICC? If not can you tell me when it would be different?
