This is not strictly true, as the 'availability' does not mean what is in stock, it means what is available. For example, you could have 100 parts in stock, but if they are all allocated to another order, they are not 'available'. If you are also given access to transaction CO09 then you can see the detail of the availability including both the stock and its allocations. You can go directly from VA01 to this, from within the sales order.
