Check the below trx. Codes for converting a warning message into error message & vice versa:
OPJB for production messages
OBA5 for CO messages
OMT4 for material master message
Else, follow the path as:
SPRO > Purchasing > Environmental Data > Define attributes of system messages > System messages.
Search for the appropriate message & change the status from 'W' (warning) to 'E' (Error)
