[sap-log-sd] Will GS01 set work in a pricing requirement?

My FICO consultant has suggested that I use a GS01 value set to group certain materials and use that set in a pricing requirement. Has anyone used a GS01 value set successfully in SD -- particularly in a pricing requirement?
