With regards to explanation about double-line entry please read below link -

especially extract - "Double-line Overview" but that it is restricted to use with IS-OIL. So the online help appears not to have kept abreast of the changes since ye olde 4.0B or thereabouts, when double line entry WAS generally available, not just to IS-OIL implementations."

The F1 help says that if any CTYPE is entered there, this shows in the double-line entry. Where does this happen?
