Hi syamala m, Your comment - "I had actually checked the Item Category TAS" led me to the question - Why is the "triggering" of PR set in the schedule line category by SAP? Maybe members could answer this question (for us). With this question in mind, I did some tests, below are my findings; thinking - 1. Maybe if business/company wants to have one item category for normal (OTC) process and third party process. That is possible if the trigger for PR is kept in - one of the - schedule line category e.g. ZTAN has CP and CS assigned to it in VOV5. User can have ZTAN and choose CP or CS. 2. In VA01, item level, Tab Schedule lines, there is an EXTRA button when schedule line category triggers PR. This button is called purchase requisition. Having thought about the above question, maybe - like Lakshmipathi said - we cannot know too many things in SAP, as to why they have been constructed that way. :) Nonetheless, brainstorming is interesting and a way to understand the functionalities better (most of the time). Let's wait for the comments from members with regards to this question. (Why is the "triggering" of PR set in the schedule line category by SAP?)
