One option is to do as follows -

After the partial delivery, when you realize you need to deliver from another plant, go to your line item, add Part.dlv./item = B and Max.Part.Deliv. = 1 and SAVE the order. It is possible to edit these fields after partial delivery.
On SAVING, System will put that particular line item to "Fully Delivered" Status, but you can still see what was the originally ordered qty in the Greyed out "Order Qty" field.
Then add another line with balance qty and new plant.

We want to change plant code for partially delivered sales order. Currently it is in disable mode and will not allow change plant.
