1. Standard consignment process -
After CI (i.e. goods have been taken by the customer from the consignment WH, in order to be consumed), the customer is billed. If the customer does not use this material and wants to return it to the consignment WH, he gets a credit memo. This giving money back to the customer is the CONR (consignment return process). In standard settings, to create the consignment return order is no copy control either from CI order or from F2 billing doc. Basically user creates CONR order in VA01 and gives the material and quantity details. Thereafter GR is done and RE (credit memo) is given to the customer.
I have tested CONR process, the quantity in the order is equal to quantity in the credit memo. NO decrementing happening.

2. To clarify -
You have setup copy control F2 (from ci process) to CR (credit memo request).
E.g.
F2 has 10EA --> CR gets 10EA - Is that correct?
credit process - CR has 10EA --> G2 has less than 10EA - Is that correct?

3. For quantity to be billed check VTFA, field "Billing quantity" at item level.
Compare your settings with Cash sale settings (to have a reference for billing quantity) or RE process (for ref.)

4. If the process of credit is different (than above), please give some more information about the business process.

Subject: Consignment - Credit Memo

My staff has created a credit memo request with reference to an invoice that was created from the consignment issue invoice. The Credit Memo is decrementing quantities from the consignment issue order. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what is the reasoning? We thought that creating with reference did nothing except copy data from one document to another for the convenience of the order entry staff member.
