[sap-log-sd] Contract cancellation

Do I need to follow any procedure to cancel the contract or I can change the contract expiry date instead of using cancellation procedures?

My main concern is If I change the contract expiry date- then is it come under contract amendment or contract cancellation.

If it come under contract cancellation then what is the use of contract procedure?
