Hi Roger,

After doing some more tests, I have a better understanding of the issue in your original post. It is more complex then first estimated. I have NOT solved the issue, I know that some expert in this forum can solve it.

I did the same testing as you did -
1. created Quantity contract (QC) for 10EA, with item category KMN.
2. In VOV7, for KMN, Completion rule was given = E (instead of C) & "Contract Release Ctrl" = B (give Error message when Open VALUE exceeds Target value)
3. create Release order, in VA01; for 2EA
4. get message -
Target value of value contract has bee
Value contract: 2090000086, Item: 0000
Difference rate: 24,000 TWD
Document cannot be saved !

QUESTION -
Why is the message saying 2090000086 is a Value contract? (this is a Quantity contract)

The difference rate, (in the message) = net amount in sales order - PR00 for 1EA

I think, because we have changed the setting of "Contract Release Ctrl" = B in KMN, in VOV7. System is processing the Quantity contract as a Value contract.

In item category WKN, Quantity is 1 = ticked (activated); maybe therefore; system is calculating "Difference rate" = Total net value of Sales order minus Price (PR00) of 1EA.
But of course for this contract the item category is KMN (and not WKN).

Experts please help.

I'd like to know whether we can control the qty release for quantity contract or not.

There is a field in item category which name is "Contract Release Ctrl" but I feel it is controlling value not quantity; I've set it to "B-Error message if target value is exceeded", then create a quantity contract with qty:10, then create a sale order with qty 2 which refer to this contract, however, system prompt an error message :

Target value of value contract has bee
Value contract: 2090000086, Item: 0000
Difference rate: 24,000 TWD

Document cannot be saved !

Is there any solution for quantity contract? please share the knowledge to me if there is any experts know the solutions.
