Based on my understanding of your query, the solution is as follows -
1. Create condition table with field MATKL (i.e. Material Group)
2. Create access sequence & assign the condition table to this Acc seq.
3. Create condition type & assign the Acc seq to this condition type
4. Assign access seq to your Material determination procedure
5. Assign this procedure to your Sales doc type
6. VB11, In condition record - fill in the value of the material group & the list of all replacement materials; with the help of "Alternative material" icon. Mention Substitution reason = 0005
Now when you create sales orders with materials having that particular Mat. gr.; a pop-up with list of replacable materials shall presented by the system.

I would like to use Material Determination to provide customer service with a pop-up list of suggested materials during order entry. I would like the list of suggested materials to be generated based on the "list of materials" assigned a particular value on the material master in the Material Group field. So far, my attempts have basically required me to duplicate the data in the Material Group field in my Material Determination condition records. Does anyone have a suggestion for the correct design of my Material Determination condition table to make this work? |
