I have a request from a business process owner to implement a process surrounding a certain set of materials which seems to cross mututally exclusive boundaries.
The material is to be produced and sold as a serialized item, but also needs to spawn a service order and notification pair from the sales order at the time of order entry.
I'm aware that there is a standard SAP process to spawn a service order from a service material, but is it possible to do this from a material that is shipped to a customer?
I can find very little documentation from SAP on this matter.
