In principle, global layout shouldn't be change unless a technical (e.g support team) will be the one who will be doing it. For you to change you will be needing S_ALV_LAYO object in your user master records with activity maintain (23).

we are migrating form 4.6C to 6.0 and got aware that it seems that it is no longer posible to save the query overview layout as a standard administration layout. The flag for "user specific" is greyed out and cannot be removed.
I would be greatful if somebody could offer me a solution, how I can fix a standard layout for all users.
