The answer depends on your SAP setup. Has the Basis team made it possible to email anything at all out of SAP to outside addresses? If so, then when you print the invoice you can "print" it directly to email. Other options are to "print" directly to a PDF file, which you would then email. In my opinion, the best solution is to archive the original outputs, so when you need a new copy you can get a (pdf, usually) copy of the actual original output instead of recreating it with a new print. This way, it's a true and accurate copy, not affected by changes to your printing since the original, like the form layout or the master data.

We are new SAP users. I often find it necessary to re-print invoices to send them to the customer. How can I email an invoice from my desk top? We are not on automatic billing yet. The only thing we know how to do is print the invoice, scan it to ourselves and then attach it to an email or fax it. This is cumbersome! I want to do this from my desktop. Can you help? |
