Test by giving the delivering plant in the CMR. i.e. XD02, button Sales area data, Tab Shipping, field Delivering Plant.
If by the above setup the issue is solved, then - probably - the division of the two sales areas (sales area with MMR and sales area with CMR) is different.
One hint (for me) was - system is talking about Sales area, and not Delivering plant + Sales org, dis channel.
Please let us know the results of your testing.
