Hi syamala m,

In the first sentence of your post - it should be item category group and not item category. :)
(NORM = standard item, BANS = third party, DIEN = serivce w/o delivery)

To answer / comment on the original post -
"I mean if I define ZTAN item category for the target document. Do I need to maintain the ZTAN item category determination in the config of item category determination (order type+item cat grop+usage+high level=ZTAN)."

E.g. 1) Copy control settings have been made from sales order --> delivery for ZTAN.
2) But in sales order ZTAN has to be populated, only then the system knows what delivery item category to populate.

E.g.
if ONLY 2) is done, then system shall NOT be able to create a delivery document, as it "does NOT know" what to do with ZTAN of the sales order!

Subject: Item category in copy control

Hi,

Whenever we specify the Sales doc type, item category, usage and the higher level item, then the system automatically proposes an item category. That is called proposed item category. But we can also manually add our own relevant item category in addition to that.
