If you have solid work experience, then certification can act as an added incentive. It shall help in landing interviews with big companies that want to recruit SAP certified professionals.
Furthermore, one shall be benefited by the intense preparation done to sit for the SD certification exam. One shall get a good idea about the areas where he/she hasn't worked, by preparing for this exam.
I have been greatly benefited by reading the TSCM60 and TSCM62. And these are the books for the certification exam.

then again that has to be included either in the z table or code before
processing the sales order which is practically not possible and hence
suggested to go in for Sales doctyoe wise or Cust grpwise.
