1. Check the Item Category Determination(VOV4)
2. For erla The item category group is Some TAP r TAQ(VOV7) , so
check in the item category whether you have filled the requirement
for BOM are not.
3. Check these two and reply me.

Subject: BOM not Exploding
Gurus,
I created material using (MM01),for the main product in BOM I entered item
category group as ERLA,for sub item as NORM.
In CS01,5 is chosen all those setting have been made.
While in VA01,it indicated message " the system does not find a valid BOM" I have
checked with all settings and all seems to be right.
Kindly advice
