A point of clarification...SAP doesn't check actual stock at the batch level. It checks available stock. So if there are orders or deliveries that have a batch assigned to them, the actual stock is reduced by these in determining available stock. Note that the total available at a batch level cannot be greater than the availability at the plant level. At the time of PGI, the only check is the on hand inventory at the plant/sloc/batch level.

The batch determination happens as stated above. 1 ) When the batch is determined in sales order, does the system does the ATP by considering the actual stock for that particular batch determined in sales order? Yes. 2 ) What happens at the delivery level? During the batch determination, if TAN is activated, then batch is determined at the sales order level. If not, batch determination happens at the delivery level and the batch is split according to the material availability in batches. Ex: SO of 20 PCs are created; 15 PCs of Batch 1 are available and 5 PCs of Batch 2 are available, the batch split in Delivery is as below. SNo Materail Quantity Confirmed Qty [Batch Split Indicator, when clicked] 10 M 15 15 Batch 1 20 M 5 5 Batch 2 I think during PGI, the system checks for the actual stock for the batch which is determined in delivery? As far as I know, the system does no checks for batches during PGI. Regards, Syamala | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
