In addition to the above helpful posts, At different stages of the sales process (e.g. delivery, billing processes), different business partners are needed E.g. During delivery process, Ship To business partner is needed and BP, PY are not needed. During billing process, BP, PY are needed, Ship To is not needed. That is the reason why at every "level" we have the need for different partners (in configuration language - different partner determination procedure; features like - mandatory, not modifiable) The business wants to have a dedicated Sales employee for Express deliveries (a particular sales document type) in order to oversee that the customer is satisfied and give "personal attention"; as express deliveries are a high-price option for the customer. But for Normal deliveries you do not want to any Sales employee to oversee the process. Thus you would have to have 2 partner procedures - for Express deliveries, procedure having this partner function as Mandatory. & for Normal deliveries, not mandatory. In CMR choose to have SP, SH, BP, PY. But in your sales order you also want business partner Logistic provider to populate automatically. In this case you have different partner procedure assigned to account gr. and different procedure assigned to the sales doc type.

Hello experts, This is a simple question but I want to know how partner determination at sales order differs from that at customer master. Why we need two levels of partner determination or even more? The reason I am asking is we are migrating customer master from legacy to SAP ECC 6.0. We are also migrating open sales order. How does partner determination differs in two conversions? Thank you in advance. | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
