Hi,

To add to Gavin: the partner determination on customer master is to determine which partners are required when you create a customer. For example, if you create a soldto, partner determination on SP will make it required to link a SH, PY, BP to that soldto.

The partner determination on sales order level determines which partners are required in the creation of a sales order.

This is a simple question but I want to know how partner determination at sales order differs from that at customer master. Why we need two levels of partner determination or even more?

The reason I am asking is we are migrating customer master from legacy to SAP ECC 6.0. We are also migrating open sales order. How does partner determination differs in two conversions?
