I work with outbound deliveries therefore I shall make a suggestion basing on outb. deliveries; i think the suggestion can be extrapolated to shipments too.

"Impossible to ship on time" would be Actual GI date later than Planned GI. When a delivery leaves the plant (shipping point) late/ delayed, then the dispatch staff can input the Actual GI date and time in VL02N.
I suppose, user can get a report of delayed deliveries (system compares Planned GI and Actual GI to give the list of deliveries)
