Please see my answers below: 1) When I create a batch through T code MSC1N, how can I assign stock of goods produced to such batches. The stock is assigned at the time of receipt. 2) Whenever I create stock through MB1C, the system sometimes ask for the batch number and sometime it does not ask for the batch no and sometimes on the batch field in t code MB1C, if I take a drop down, I can see the list of batches for the plant and material. What does it mean ? If batches shown by the system for plant and material already have material assigned to them, then what is the purpose of showing batches (for plant and material) when there is already a material existing for such batches and how can we assign more material to the same material for the plant (remember iam in t code MB1C for creating stock) Whether a batch is requested or not is determined by the batch management flag on marc. The list of batches are any that have been created for the material/plant in the past. Batches are assigned to material/plants combinations, not the other way around. You can assign more stock to a batch during MB1c. 3) How ATP check is done for batch stock. For eg if we have a batch A for 100 qty in stock, then if we create sales order for 100 qty and the batch determined in sales order as per batch determination is batch B, then will the system take into account the batch A qty of 100 stock for doing ATP check for sales order. If yes, but then the batch determined in sales order is batch A and how come it can do an ATP check on batch A If batch determination finds a batch using the characteristic "Available Quantity", the availability check routine perform the ATP check on the batch. If the ATP check is successful at the plant/batch level, i.e. can be fulfilled from a single batch within the replenishment lead time, then the batch is populated on the sales order line item. If not, but there is sufficient availability across multiple batches, then the line item will be confirmed but without a batch, since the assumption is that split batches on the delivery are OK.
