1. "if the routine is created in the code....." In what cases routines are created in code?
2. "Routine is written inside the User exit" Are you refering to 1.? can you give some business example for it?
3."VBRK-ZUKRI is used in the billing header to store these additional split criteria" -
In VTFL, field "Data VBRK/VBRP" is called = V_TVCPFLP-GRURP.
So which /where is field "VBRK-ZUKRI"?
4. SAP in F1 of field "Data VBRK/VBRP" says "You can enter the identifying number for a new routine and then create the routine through table maintenance." -
Is this related to 1 & 2?
5. My understand about - how to do invoice split, is as follows -
a. Go to VOFM
b. In Data Transfer>Billing - create routine
If you (Functional consultant) do NOT know how to do b, then ask Technical consultant.
c. In VTFL put that routine in field ""Data VBRK/VBRP"
d. Test
Is my understanding correct?

**With regards to your below query the Routine is written inside the User exit for the combination of many deliveries into an invoice based on the below mentioned criteria
ZUK is the structure which has fields containing and which will check for the delivery documents to be combined into a single invoice

The routine is activated and maintained in the VOFM - Data transfer and will check for the fields inside the ZUK structure for VBRK/VBRP

For ex if the Date is blank then it will check for the split criteria with the below combination posted in this forum

if the routine is created in the code for the data routine , have to create a structure with the fields that is needed to compare between deliveries, will then select from the appropriate tables into the structure and then copy the structure into VBRK-ZUKRI field

then the system will compare the fields containing the structure and will split the invoice based on the difference in the field since the invoice should not be split
