Hi Typewriter , I am able to read the content of text editor in a stand alone program , but not in user exit. In stand alone I give name to the texteditor my self , where as in a sap program I need to trail back the id of object. This is not rather simple ...though when we find solution to it , it would look simple in hind site . regards alok

With filling in texts in Text ID, these texts can be conveniently referenced & or copied in to many documents (both at header and item level). 2. Moreover, with Text Determination, there are many options + flexibility; e.g. multiple text ids for Central text, Sales & Distribution etc. At any time "mixing & matching" is possible - Delivery note header can "pickup" some text from Sales order, CMR, MMR etc. 3. For every Text ID, you have one page (i.e. lot of space) to fill in all your text content. Do you think, if user fills in texts in some field in CMR or MMR, could deliver the above mentioned advantages/functionalities, within standard functionality? By the way - In sales order, delivery, bills; user can setup the system (Text Determination) in such a way that certain Text IDs are mandatory. (This is inturn linked to Incompletion log.) But this functionality is not given for Text IDs for CMR, Cust Material Info records. Please explain how (and which) fields could be changed and used for validation. It would help my learning. PS - I could not post the navigation & object details in ABAP forum. When I try to see the thread online, it takes me to SD Forum (instead of taking me to ABAP forum). Could you upload the relevant in ABAP Forum? Regards, | | __.____._ Copyright © 2011 Toolbox.com and message author. Toolbox.com 4343 N.
